Gerente Jr Scrum Master

 

Role Description:

The Scrum Master is a servant leader who helps one or more teams self-organize and helps in building an environment that enables delivering business value and a great product. It’s her/his role to coach the team and the Product Owner in effective Agile practices, lead and/or facilitate Scrum and/or other processes (e.g. Kanban, lean, XP) that the team has agreed upon. He/she helps remove and escalate impediments and shields the team from external distractions. Scrum Masters are also personal coaches for team members (including product owner) to build high performing teams and seek to continuously improve the effectiveness of the team in delivering business value.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide the team and organization on how to use scrum & other Agile practices and methodologies.
  • Oversee scrum process and coaches the team; facilitates transparency, inspection and adaptation.
  • Plan daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings in a way that ensures full team engagement.
  • Support Product Owner and team in backlog refinement and release planning.
  • Remove impediments (egg., cultural barriers, logistic challenges, coordination w/other teams).
  • Foster close cooperation across all team members, encourage cross-training and supporting each other.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside the team.
  • Shield the team from external interference and ensure the team is fully functional and productive.
  • Foster self-organization and growth within the team.
  • Generate agile mindset in lean agile center of excellence staff and teams through conversations, coaching, and role-playing exercises.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of punishment.

Key Skills:

Agile Experience

  • Experience in Agile Development, with specific Scrum Master (or similar) experience preferred.
  • Ability to coach team on agile practices and ensure adherence to agile methodology to deliver max business value on time.

 

Individual Skills

  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages and teach new concepts.
  • Able to resolve conflicts within the team before they become an issue – strong mediator.
  • Active coach and mentor whose goal is to grow and maximize the team’s potential.
