Main Functions
The Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for leading the development of dashboards, self-service capabilities and data insights, ensuring relevance for Platforms, applicability to business problems & intuitive user experience. This role demands a blend of mastery of complex data, BI expertise, UI & UX excellence and a deep understanding of business needs to instill a culture of data-driven decision making across OXXO MX.

•Expertise in Business Intelligence: Deep understanding of BI, Data Warehousing, visualization tools, frameworks & languages
•Data leadership: Deep understanding of complex data modelling and how they can be utilized to answer complex business questions
•Innovation: Track record of staying updated with latest trends in BI (e.g., Cloud, GenAI, self-service, UI & UX) and their applications
•Business understanding: Understands key business questions and where BI can improve decision making (and where not)
•Problem-solving abilities: Strong analytical skills to understand complex business problems and develop solutions using data
•Insights to Action: Ability to connect Insights and identify Business use cases to foster performance
•Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead multifunctional teams (BI, Agencies, Data, Business) fostering culture of innovation & excellence
•Project Management Skills: Proficiency in managing BI projects from conception to deployment (Data governance / Architecture / Engineering, Digital Maturity, UI / UX, Story telling)
•Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
Responsibilities
•BI Leadership: Lead the design, development & implementation of BI dashboards, analyses & capabilities
•Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of BI teams across company, setting goals and guiding career development
•BI Strategy: Develop and implement strategies and roadmaps for BI development & operations
•Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality, sustainability, and scalability of BI solutions (Dashboards, Use cases and benefits tracking (Front and Back)) analyses & capabilities
•Collaboration with Other Teams: Work closely with the ML Engineering, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Product Management and Business teams to align BI solutions with business needs & technical foundations
•Innovation and Research: Stay updated with the latest trends in BI & introduce innovative practices
Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources within the BI team
